The middle of the fleet, and usually the right answer

Eight of ATT’s forty-one cars sit here, between €45 and €85 a day. They are the cars most people should book: a family of four fits with luggage, they hold motorway speed without working hard, and they are still narrow enough for Tirana.

The step up from economy buys boot space and refinement rather than capability. The step up to an SUV buys ground clearance, which only pays for itself if you are leaving the tarmac.

A note on distances

Albania looks small on a map and drives large. Tirana to Saranda is four to five hours, not two. A standard car makes that drive considerably more pleasant than a small hatchback, and that is the honest argument for this group.

Common questions

Are these automatic?

Almost all of them — thirty-nine of the forty-one cars ATT runs are automatic. Set the Transmission filter to Automatic on the booking form to confirm for your dates.

Four adults and four suitcases — will it fit?

In an estate or a Passat, yes. In a Golf it depends on the cases. Each car’s page lists its large-bag capacity; if you are close to the limit, tell us and we will point you at the right one rather than let you find out at the desk.

Is a standard car enough for the Albanian Riviera?

Yes. The coastal road including the Llogara pass is paved and well surfaced. The pass is a series of tight switchbacks with a considerable drop, so take it slowly, but it needs no special vehicle.

What about a longer rental?

Daily rates fall as the rental lengthens. For anything from a couple of weeks upwards, message us before booking online and we will quote the period directly.
